For over 30 years, FACE has served homeschooling families in Colorado as one of the state’s original and most established umbrella schools. Our perspective comes from decades of real experience walking alongside families through every stage of the homeschool journey.  We are a licensed private school that exists specifically to support homeschoolers, offering the flexibility of parent-directed education alongside the structure and arecognition of a private institution.  

Families in Colorado have more than one valid legal pathway, including both private school enrollment and the Notice of Intent (NOI) option. At FACE, we respect and support families in choosing the path that best fits their needs. When we share information or guidance, it comes from years of hands-on experience—not theory or trends. We are committed to providing clear, steady, and practical insight so families can move forward with confidence.

We also recognize that in times of potential change, misinformation and fear-based messaging can spread quickly. We encourage families to take things one step at a time, stay grounded in accurate information, and remember that many current discussions are still evolving. At this time, not all proposed changes have passed, and we will continue to monitor developments and communicate clearly as needed. 

Over the years, FACE students have been accepted to colleges and universities across the United States and internationally, including Stanford, Harvard, Colorado School of Mines, NYU, and Columbia. Our goal has always been the same: to help students pursue the future they choose, with the support and documentation to get them there.
