What to Expect at our Friday Campus
What to Expect at our Friday Campus
Friday is our in-person class day in Westminster. Classes are a la carte and optional for enrolled families. We are not a drop-off program and that's for a great reason! Homeschooling can be isolating and parents need a tribe too. We know it can be intimidating to come to a new place so here's what to expect for both parents and students.

What to Expect for Students
What to Expect for Students
- Class sizes range from 5 - 15 students.
- Parents are always welcome to stay in class if a student is more comfortable. If a student needs some extra help in the class their parent serves as their aide.
- Textbooks or specific supplies will be on your class schedule and can also be found in the course description. They are not provided by teachers.
- Many classes have a class fee that is paid directly to the teacher for supplies.
- Students not in classes need to wait with their parents. Many bring crafts, games, legos, and homework to keep busy.
- If the weather is nice, your whole family can go outside to enjoy the patio and basketball hoops.
- Dress code is casual. Keep all your underwear covered and don't wear things that are insulting to the humanity of others or obscene. Don't wear a full face mask so teachers have to guess who's in there (sorry Darth Vader & Spiderman but we at least need to see your eyeballs.)
- Older students may be issued a Face email and use google classroom.

What to Expect for Parents
What to Expect for Parents
- We have several areas to wait for your students. The main hall is where most parents stay.
- Homeschooling can be isolating & this is a great way to form relationships and make some new friends. Don't be shy! Plop down at a table and meet someone new.
- Wifi is available... that being said the church is in kind of a dead zone and some days even cell phones struggle.
- A nursery with toys is available for parents with young children. There are two playrooms and a quiet room with a recliner and a couple cribs for nap time or calming down overwrought toddlers. The parents who use the nursery take responsibility for keeping it picked up and ensuring the tiny potty gets flushed. Stinky diapers need to go directly out to the dumpster.
- We have quiet spaces for those who need to work or take calls. Please ask us if you need a quiet space as this location by the hour.
- If a class is listed as going through adult it means you can sign up for the class too!
- There is a snack bar called the bake & brew available most days for purchasing coffee, snacks, and lunch.
- If you have to step out to your car please let us know in case your kid needs you!
- If you have to run an errand you need to leave an adult in charge. Make some friends and parent each other's kids in case one of you needs a coffee run! Both the main table and your kids need to know who your student's designated adult is.

What happens if I leave my kids without an adult in charge?
There will be an "Abandoned student" fee of $50 per class period, per student charged.
If you leave your student without a designated adult in charge, you will be called and you must come back immediately. The fee will be issued based on how long it takes you to return and must be paid before returning to classes the next week. A second offense will result in being removed from the in person program and umbrella school both without refund. You will not be eligible to re-enroll. We take this policy seriously for the safety of our students and for the wellbeing of our program.
We are not licensed and insured as a drop off program.
- We do not collect the medical info needed to be a drop off program.
- We are not structured as a drop off program.
- In case of emergency or injury we do not have staff to send with your student.
- Adults in charge of students must be at least 19 years of age.
- The ONLY legal exception to this policy is for a student 17 - 18 years of age who can drive themselves, has a car on site, and has had zero disciplinary referrals.
