This class will start students in the 20th Century and take them to the present. We will look at key events, people, and inventions that brought changes to the modern world. We will explore the expansion of empires and the changing borders that led to our current world map.
Students will learn to identify countries around the world and important aspects of each culture as we dig deep into the world of their parents and grandparents.
** 9th – 12th grade students may receive HALF credit for Geography and FULL credit for History upon completion of course…dependent on parent and student to get both credits. **
Materials to be supplied by the student:
3-ring binder to hold 2 folders with pockets, spiral notebook, colored pencils, pen, and pencil.
