Prerequisites: Successful completion of Physical Science or comparable course, grade level reading, math and writing abilities.
Biology is the first high school science class that includes classification, ecology, and in-class laboratory experiences. The labs are made up of microscope slides and dissections.
Students will be responsible for lab reports, take-home exams (proctored by parents), quizzes and connecting with current science topics on a timely basis.
Class time will be used primarily for a quick review of the material studied during the week and lab exercises. Modules will be completed at an average rate of 2 weeks per module. Students will be graded on Lab Reports, Study Guides, Exams and other assignments.
Teacher will grade homework submitted and grades will be posted via the school online gradebook. Access information will be emailed to the parent’s email address provided on the enrollment form.

Textbook: Apologia Exploring Creation with Biology, 2nd edition, Wile & Durnell.
One-time fee, due directly to the teacher.
One-time fee for this class (in addition to monthly class fee): $40.00
The one-time fee is for: All lab supplies and dissection specimens (it does NOT cover the textbook)
