Explore the human body through activities and experiments. We will be using Apologia Young Explorer Series Exploring Creation with Human Anatomy and Physiology. The students are not required to purchase this book, but it is what we will be using as a guide through the lessons. We will cover the concepts addressed in the text and conduct experiments to create understanding of what we are learning. Homework will consist of activity sheets, easy take home “experiments”, and lab reports. We will work on learning the scientific method and how to convey that into a lab report, nothing too stressful but a basic idea to prepare students for more in depth lab reports required in middle and high school sciences. Lessons include skeletal, digestive and respiratory systems, as well as nutrition and senses to name a few. We will strive for about 2 weeks on each topic. Syllabus and grades will be posted via the school online gradebook, student will need to access this regularly.
