Jessica Fink
Hi, I’m Jessica. I am a Colorado native, a mom of three, and have a private practice as a mental health therapist. We have been with FACE since 2019, with my oldest going into 2nd grade. This year I will be teaching high school life skills and elementary school Lego challenge. I really look forward to meeting all the new families and seeing our returning friends!

Beth House
I'm a thrill seeker and I strive to excel in all I do. Growing up, I was an avid student both in homeschool and public school settings. Reading will always be my first love, but Science is a very close second and I can't wait to dig into High School Biology with you guys!
In 2020 I discovered Gameschooling and it has made a huge difference in how I homeschool. My three kiddos have way more fun than we used to, there are less fights, and they are connecting games we play with skills and knowledge they need.
I can't wait to start this new adventure with everybody at FACE. See you in September!!

Heather Black
I graduated in 2016 with an American Sign language Interpreting degree and haven’t looked back since. I have interpreted inside colleges, out in the community, and in the Deaf schools, where I started my career as a substitute Dorm Supervisor in the Deaf dorms, substitute Paraeducator (Teacher Assistant) in the Deaf school, becoming a full time Paraeducator in the Deaf School, and now full time ASL Interpreter / tutor. During my time at the deaf school, I learned so much and was able to just soak up the language and culture. And now I am excited to share this with you. I love having fun; and being able to be creative and adaptive to your skill level is something I
am looking forward to. If you put in your best effort, you will see yourself improve every day!

Sue Buck
Mrs. Buck is so excited to be part of FACE this year. She is a mother of 4, Step -mother to 6, and Grandmother to 9. Her first career was teaching preschool for 8 years and being a director for 3. After having her own children, however, she focused her teaching within her church where her skills grew to include children's choir and choreography. She is an avid journal writer and finished her higher education while seeking a graduate degree in organizational change.
Sue married Steve Buck during the Covid pandemic. Both were widowed and fell in love while walking every day at a good social distance. Don't worry, they hug now.

Scott Pedersen
Hi my name is Scott Pedersen and I run the Karate program at F.A.C.E..
I started my own journey in the martial arts during elementary school, with the study of Judo. Since those beginning days, training has taken me as far away as Japan. I have accumulated over 30 years of experience in several different martial arts styles.
In 1993 I got my first opportunity to teach when I began instructing a single group class, once a week, to help my instructor at his school. I took on more and more classes until, in 1999, I became a full time school operator myself, living and breathing the martial arts around 60 hours each week.
I love to teach and strive, always, to deliver quality instruction and depth of material in an understandable way. I care about, and am lucky to personally know, each and every one of my students. Over the years I’ve been honored to have had students travel (on a recurring basis) from as far away as Fort Collins, Colorado Springs and Canyon City just to train with me. I’ve worked with and helped a very wide spectrum of people (from professional athlete competitors to people with disabilities and students ranging in ages from three years old to people over eighty-five).

Robin Riley
I am a Colorado native and have been married for 28 years. We have 7 children, four of which have now graduated. We started homeschooling when our oldest was in 2nd grade and have been a part of FACE for around 15 years. This will be my first year teaching, although I substituted for some classes last year. I am excited for what's to come this school year!

Brenda Sanchez
Hi! I'm Brenda Sanchez and I am co-teaching with Robin Riley - Cooking Around the World and Foundations in Finance. We have been homeschooling for 9 years and a part of FACE for 8 years. Our oldest just graduated from FACE and our youngest is a Junior. I'm excited to be teaching this year for the first time. I have been a substitute in the past and coordinated Bake n Brew for 4 years. We own our own business - a children's consignment sale in Pueblo - which keeps me busy outside of homeschooling and my husband is a manager at Angi.

Cristal Sims
I have been at FACE for 8 years. We have been on this homeschool journey for 14 years now. I have two sons that have graduated and one daughter going into 11th grade. I love teaching at FACE and this year, I will be teaching 3 new classes: Consumer Math, General Science, and Chemistry/Physics for 4-6th grade. I will also offer online math tutoring for high school students. I am excited about the new year and looking forward to meeting new families.

MacKenzie Daniels
Hi, my name is Ms. Kenzie and this is my 2nd year at FACE. I'm 38 years young and a single mom, I love art and science and I play the piano. I try to paint or craft whenever I get the chance. I taught preschool for about 12 years and have worked with children from the ages of 1 to 12 years old for almost 16 years. I have a 7 year old son who is my world and 2 dogs that are spoiled like children. I'm super excited for this coming year at FACE! And I can't wait to meet you all.

Marisa Lebsock
My name is Marisa Lebsock. I am the dance instructor for FACE. This will be my second year with FACE and I am very excited to see what the new year brings. I grew up dancing with the City of Thornton and continued my training at multiple studios and in high school on their dance team. I am currently also a dance instructor for the City of Thornton and teach recreational classes as well as 4 hip hop competitive dance teams that have brought home many awards. I am excited to share my passion for dance with FACE this year and can’t wait to teach new students and have a fun school year.

Megan Miller
This will be my third year teaching at FACE. I’m very excited to see what kind of ridiculous mischief and stories we create in Revolting Writing and looking forward to walking our teens through an introduction to logic class in the Art of Argument. I’m an Illinois native who moved to Colorado 9 years ago and love exploring this beautiful state with my husband of 17 years and our two children. I have a bachelor’s degree in dietetics and human nutrition from Kansas State University and love to read, garden, cook, photograph nature, and volunteer at my church in my free time.
